Abstract |
Background. Today the innovation is the key factor for the country economic growth, improving its competitiveness and independence. Despite numerous declarations about the development of the national innovation system, the situation in recent years has got worse, which is expressed in the loss of the country’s competitiveness. The main purpose of this work is to systematize views on the role of innovation in the regional socioeconomic system, to clarify the nature of the concepts of "innovation", "innovation scope" and cluster models of regional socio-economic system development.
Materials and methods. Realization of the research objectives was achieved by means of the analysis of the Russian and foreign systems of assessment of scientific and technical operations of enterprises, the Russian practice of stimulation of innovative activities of enterprises. The methodological potential included the methods of system and comparative analysis of innovative activities.
Results. As a result of the system analysis the characteristics of innovation and classification of innovative capabilities of enterprises were given. The author has suggested an organizational - economic mechanism of sustainable socioeconomic development of the territory and the basic principles to stimulate innovation and improve the competitiveness of the region
Conclusions. On the basis of the research results the author identified the main principles of stimulation of innovations and increasing the regional competitiveness.
